Before you start
- The exact shipping rate label shown in your live checkout.
- Confirmation that Shopify is actually returning that rate.
A missing shipping zone or unavailable rate can look the same as a hide rule, so confirm the rate appears in checkout first.

Steps
Step 1 — Install Nex Reorder
Install Nex Reorder from the Shopify App Store and approve the required permissions. If it is already installed, continue to the next step.
Step 2 — Open Quick Hide Shipping Method
From the Shipping Methods section, select Quick Hide Shipping Method.
Step 3 — Name the rule
Enter a clear rule name so you can identify it later. Example: Hide Express Shipping.
Step 4 — Add the shipping method
Select the shipping rates you want to hide. Use a preset if the label is standard, or type the exact shipping method name shown in checkout.
Step 5 — Add conditions if needed
Add conditions if the shipping method should only be hidden in certain cases. The most common conditions here are Shipping country, Shipping state / province, and Shipping ZIP / postal code.
If you do not add a condition, the rule applies to every eligible checkout.
Step 6 — Activate the rule
Make sure Rule Status is set to Activated, then save.
Always leave at least one shipping rate available
If your conditions hide every shipping rate for some carts, customers will not be able to check out.
Verify it worked
Test two checkouts:
- One checkout where the rule should apply — the selected rate is hidden, and at least one other shipping rate still remains.
- One checkout where the rule should not apply — the normal shipping rates still appear.
This makes it easier to confirm both the hide rule and the condition logic.
Limitations
- Rules do not run in Shopify POS.
- PO Box detection only works when the shipping rate source provides the needed address data.
- The draft order admin screen shows the unmodified list. The rule applies when the customer opens the checkout link.
- Shopify limits each store to 25 active delivery customizations across all apps.
