Labels your customers understand
Change how a method is shown at checkout. Processing stays identical — only the label changes.
- Clarify card types — “Credit Card” → “Debit / Credit Card”
- Descriptive names — “Manual Payment” → “Pay by Invoice (Net 30)”
- Add context — prefix with “Recommended” or “Lowest fees”
- Apply globally, or by country and customer tag
Note: Shopify doesn’t allow renaming methods that display with a logo (Klarna, PayPal, Shop Pay). Rename works on text-based methods like Cash on Delivery, Bank Deposit and manual methods.
